Greater Noida, January, 8th. 2026: Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Shri Chirag Paswan inaugurated the 9th. edition of Indusfood 2026 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, on 8th. January 2026. Asia’s premier food and beverage trade show, the event is its largest edition so far, spread across over 120,000 square metres. Senior government officials, global buyers, exhibitors and industry leaders from the international F&B ecosystem were present at the inauguration.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister highlighted the government’s strong commitment to the food processing sector, citing GST reforms that reduced tax rates to 5 percent or zero, significantly improving market access. He urged the industry to convert food surplus into value-added exports and called upon global brands to establish R&D centres in India, leveraging the country’s agricultural diversity and innovation potential.

The Minister outlined key government initiatives such as PMFME, Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana and the expanding role of NIFTEM in supporting farmers and entrepreneurs. During the event, APEDA launched the BHARATI initiative to nurture agri-food and agri-tech startups, aimed at boosting innovation and creating new export opportunities for young entrepreneurs in global markets.

TPCI Chairman Mr. Mohit Singla said Indusfood 2026 features over 2,200 exhibitors from 30+ countries and hosts 15,000+ buyers from more than 120 nations. New pavilions on Pet Food and Animal Nutrition and Cookware and Kitchenware were introduced. The event also marks the signing of an MoU with Abu Dhabi Food Hub, paving the way for the India–UAE Food Corridor.
