KAHIN GUM NA HO JAYEIN SEASON-9 BRINGS PUNJAB’S TRADITIONAL RECIPES INTO FOCUS.

Saturday, 05/09/2026: Punjab State Finale of “Kahin Gum Na Ho Jayein – Season 9” concludes successfully on 21st. August 2026 in Ludhiana, witnesses a vibrant celebration of traditional food and culinary heritage as 35 participants took part in the state-level contest, “Kahin Gum Na Ho Jayein – Season 9”, held at a University. The competition brought together passionate food enthusiasts and culinary practitioners who showcased the richness of Punjab’s traditional recipes and indigenous food culture. Zainab from Bathinda, who runs a cloud kitchen, emerged as the Punjab state winner for her impressive culinary presentation and dedication to preserving authentic flavours. Pooja Nagpal secured the first runner-up position while Poonam Makkar was declared the second runner-up. The achievement marks an important milestone for the winners, with Zainab and Pooja who are set to represent Punjab at the prestigious grand finale in the National Capital Region.

The event was organised by Let’s Give Back, an NGO that has been actively working towards the preservation and promotion of India’s traditional recipes and culinary heritage. Through its flagship initiative, Kahin Gum Na Ho Jayein, the organisation aims to ensure that age-old recipes and regional food traditions are not lost with changing lifestyles and generations. This season is centred around the theme “My State, My Plate”, highlighting the unique culinary identity of different regions across India. The initiative is being conducted at more than 25 locations across India and overseas, creating a wider platform for participants to celebrate their local food traditions. The national-level competition will offer participants an opportunity to compete for a prize of ₹ 1.5 lakh while showcasing the diversity and depth of Indian cuisine.

The occasion was graced by Himanshu Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana, as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, the initiative was appreciated for its efforts to safeguard India’s culinary legacy and encourage people to remain connected with their cultural roots. The competition reflected a growing awareness about the importance of documenting, celebrating and passing traditional recipes to future generations. Beyond being a culinary contest, Kahin Gumm Na Ho Jayein – Season 9 has emerged as a meaningful platform for promoting regional food heritage and recognising individuals who are keeping authentic traditions alive. With Punjab’s winners now preparing for the grand finale, the contest continues to strengthen the message that India’s traditional food culture deserves recognition, preservation and celebration on a larger stage.
