Q) What are Lab-Grown Diamonds?
A) Lab-Grown Diamonds are 100% real diamonds. The only difference is that they are grown in a lab instead of being mined from the earth. This means no damage to nature or the environment is caused. Q) How are Lab-Grown Diamonds made?
A) Small diamond seeds are cut with laser light, then they are placed in a CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) plasma reactor, the reactor is then heated to a temperature similar to the sun’s surface. Methane and hydrogen gases are added to it and for over 5 to 6 weeks, carbon from the methane gas settles on the seed and grows into a diamond, becoming 5 to 6 times larger. The diamond is then cut and polished like any natural diamond.
