REFT Today’s Senior Journalist Khatibah Rehmat has been to Markdraft, located in industrial area phase 2, Chandigarh which is owned by Mr. Gurpreet Singh and Navpreet Singh. Let us now read about the beginning of their beautiful journey in hospitality industry.
Tell us about yourself Mr. Gurpreet Singh?
GURPREET SINGH: My name is Gurpreet Singh and I worked for 14 years as a project manager and gained a lot of experience in many companies and different sectors.
Let us know a bit about Mr. Navpreet Singh.
NAVPREET SINGH: My name is Navpreet Singh, I worked for almost 14 years in different multinational companies, then one day Gurpreet called and told me about his plans, so I said yes to it and now we both are here. I started this company with Manpreet in 2019.
I would like to know the circumstances in which both of you started your business?
GURPREET SINGH: We both have enjoyed a lot in our professional lives respectively and have learnt very much during this journey. But, starting a business with a friend means the relationship changes.
Your clients are basically from the hotel industry or domestic as well?
GURPREET SINGH: We deal with all customers wheather they are walk-ins and want things for domestic uses or they belong to hotel industry for commercial uses, we do respect and welcome all. But, our main focus is mostly on those cream clients which are just 20% in the market.
Do you want to say anything more about Markdraft any detail when you make a start?
GURPREET SINGH: Markdraft is all about technology innovation, being it a single window solution, we help to meet the dreams of all hotels or restaurants to customise different products as per their demands. Markdraft combines the most suitable technologies to help the customers to meet their swiftly changing needs in global business models for sophisticated solutions to meet their business requirements.
What about your inhouse brand of Markdraft? Kindly, spread some light over the same.
GURPREET SINGH: Our in-house brand is named as AOUR and here we customize anything out of wood according to the need of our clients. It’s finishing is fabulous and loved by all.

LOVEPREET KAUR: My name is Lovepreet Kaur and I am working here as a senior store manager since past two years. Before joining Markdraft I was working in banking sector for past seven years.
Being the only female staff here, I never felt awkward, everyone was really friendly since beginning. I would further conclude by saying that kindly make a visit over here and buy products of your choice and reach your business to great heights.
