YUM-CHA, THE CHINESE FOOD FESTIVAL IS CELEBRATED IN XO AT JW MARRIOTT, CHANDIGARH; A REPORT BY: KHATIBAH REHMAT.
JW Marriott, Chandigarh is celebrating the Chinese food festival at XO with the name of Yum-Cha which means Tea-Bao. Chef Sudeep Taramu is the person behind this fest whereas, Chef Abhishek Guha is the head of all operations in XO. A place where pure Punjabi’s reside and eat highly rich food here, Chef Abhishek and team has decided to introduce something new for the people who come here from round the globe and want to try a cuisine which is out of any dish full of butter, tadka, or any other rich food, etc. Believe me, this idea really rocked, though Yum-Cha, the Chinese food festival is celebrated and presented during dinner hours but, with public demand Chef Abhishek and team has decided to continue this on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for lunch as well.

The rush is still unbelievable, people are coming to taste a different flavour. They have a number of Dim-sums and wontons, all their crusts were prepared by adding natural vegetable colours. It was like raining of many colours on one table. They served me with different menu where I loved almost all the things but, was unable to eat entire varieties. Their chicken Dim-sums were good, chicken wonton vegetable soup will be loved by those who are really health conscious, the crust of the wonton was made by carrots.
Dim-Sums. Dim-Sums. Dim-Sums. Dim-Sums and it’s kind.
The best thing I loved on my table was the dry Chicken schezwan platter with vegetables and veg-fried rice. I still can’t forget it’s taste and aroma, as in it’s still drooling into my mouth. Ms. Nikita Singh a 22 years old young but dynamic Mar-Com Executive seems like a bundle of ideas who knows how to make a simple thing into a big news or talk of the town, applauds to her work bravery as well. JW Marriott knows how to spot an extraordinary person from the crowd. Well, what are you waiting for? Book your tables right away and taste the authentic flavours of China in the pure place of Punjab: JW Marriott, Chandigarh.
