IIT-KHARAGPUR ORGANISES IT’S THREE DAYS ANNUAL CULTURAL FEST NAMED SPRING FEST FROM 24-26 JANUARY, 2025: A pre-event report by: Khatibah Rehmat.

There are several top notch institutions, colleges and universities in our country, so amongst many there are the IITs in India. They are the A-listing colleges around the nation, where IIT-Kharagpur is the one who are conducting their annual cultural fest named Spring Fest, 2025 which is also a celebration of culture and creativity. This three days event will begin on the 24th. of January, 2025 until January, 26th. 2025. According to the students of IIT Kharagpur, this is one of India’s largest student-organized cultural and social festivals, known for its vibrant energy and unique themes every year. This year’s theme is, “Magical Masquerade: A Realm of Mystical Revelry,”. The social theme, “Unnati: Lighting Paths, Lifting Voices,” focuses on empowerment and positive social change. Musical Performances: A blend of bollywood and classical music is one of the biggest attractions of Spring Fest is its incredible musical lineup.

Every year, renowned artists light up the stage with their performances. This year, the famous bollywood singer and composer Amit Trivedi will be performing live, bringing his soulful music and unmatched energy to the audience. In the past, legends like Salim-Sulaiman (2024) and Sunidhi Chauhan (2023) have performed at Spring Fest, mesmerizing the crowd with their unforgettable performances. Additionally, this year’s festival will feature special classical music performances by renowned vocalist and instrumentalists, showcasing the beauty of India’s rich cultural heritage. This unique mix of classical and contemporary music will be a treat for all music lovers. Competitions and other highlights of Spring Fest, 2025 will host a wide range of competitions, including music, dance, drama and literature, giving participants a platform to showcase their talents.

A special highlight this year is the snapchat spotlight competition. Attendees can also explore creative workshops and exhibitions that combine the latest technology with artistic expression. Night time performances under the stars will add an extra layer of magic to the festival. Social awareness and green initiatives, the social theme, “Unnati,” will focus on important issues like women’s empowerment,
education and adolescent health. The festival will host interactive campaigns, discussions and activities to raise awareness and encourage action. Environmental sustainability is also a key focus this year, with green initiatives integrated into various events to promote the importance of preserving our planet.
